As a test corrector, my main responsibility was to ensure that students' assessments were corrected quickly, accurately and efficiently, using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to the full. OCR is a technology that converts different types of documents, such as scanned text images, into editable and searchable data. This feature is essential for automating the test correction process.
This work was carried out with students from the 5th year of elementary school through to secondary school, covering bimonthly and semester assessments, including mock exams and the ENEM. The use of OCR allows large volumes of physical tests to be scanned and corrected automatically, optimizing time and minimizing human error.
I used OCR systems supplied by renowned companies such as HS Informática+, the representative in Brazil, and Cardiff+, from the USA. These systems are integrated with scanning applications that allow large amounts of physical data to be processed using high-capacity scanners. The software modules of these systems are highly efficient for scanning and recognizing marks and text on evidence.

In addition, I used low-complexity relational databases (Microsoft Access) to input grades into the school's and UBEC Group's specific systems. With the help of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), I developed accessible spreadsheets that made it easy to mark and process the data according to the criteria established by the institution's notices. These spreadsheets were essential for framing the data and ensuring the accuracy of the information.
A crucial part of my work is personalizing the answer cards, including essay cards, with the students' data. This perfectly simulates the processes of large exam boards, such as those that administer entrance exams and the ENEM. Through EASY Exam+, a robust and adaptable system, we are able to manage and process the assessments efficiently and accurately.

My skills range from configuring and maintaining OCR systems to integrating the results into low-complexity relational databases. I have a strong command of scanning software, VBA spreadsheet creation and management, and an in-depth understanding of the processes required to ensure the integrity and accuracy of automated corrections. With these tools, I am able to provide a test correction service that meets the high demands and standards of educational institutions, guaranteeing reliable and fast results for students.
